One of the core functions of an Employee Assistance Program is its ability and willingness to train a client’s managers and staff. PerformanceLinc, a service offered by CuraLinc in conjunction with the SupportLinc (EAP) program, is a robust corporate training service offered to client companies. This service is divided into two broad categories: Benefit Training and Topical Training.

Through Benefit Training, PerformanceLinc trainers will provide client employees and supervisors with the tools to utilize the program and its components most effectively. As part of this process, managers and supervisors are trained regarding their roles, problems they may encounter, and effective solutions. The goal of benefit training is to drive awareness of the EAP through all levels of the organization.

PerformanceLinc’s Topical Training services allow client organizations to use CuraLinc as their own private OD (organizational development) training resource. OD, according to Richard Beckhard, the founder of the Organization Development Network, is “a planned effort, organization-wide, managed from the top, to increase organization effectiveness and health, through planned interventions in the organization's 'processes', using behavioral science knowledge.” Please refer to the box above for a sample list of training topics offered by PerformanceLinc. PerformanceLinc offers several vehicles for training delivery: in person, “brown bag” lunches, telephonic, WebX and the proprietary PTS (PerformanceLinc Training System) platform. The PTS platform allows CuraLinc to customize benefit or topical training modules that the user can complete at any time. Furthermore, CuraLinc can add a short quiz to the end of the training module, to ensure proficiency.
